Wednesday

Boys and a few of the girls arriving in NOLA. Boys finishing in last minute purchases and float loading.

Thursday

No set schedule. We have been known to grab some food at Cafe Maspero and then head to the Quarter.

Dinner for those attending at Cochon. See dinner post for menus.

Friday

Breakfast at Port of Call. They open at 11am but the line starts at 10am to get a seat with the group. We serve drinks while in line as long as someone remembers to bring a bottle opener.

We work our way down Bourbon with a stop at Jean Lafitte's Black Shop to refuel and an extended stay at the Bourbon "O" Bar to watch the Prima Donnas thrown beaded bras from the balcony above Tropical Isle.

People may head off in various directions as the day progress to the Monteleone Carousel Bar or other points of attraction. Just remember to practice the Buddy System.

Dinner for those attending TBD.

Saturday

The boys leave out early for their own pre-game festivities.

Those who want to join at welcome to meet at Houston's on St. Charles for brunch. Getting an Uber or Lyft there can get tricky since many driver think the road closures prevent them from getting to a restaurant on St. Charles. The cross street is Felicity which is accessible. They just need to know the roads and not rely upon Waze. Getting a cab from your hotel may be your best bet.

After brunch, we step right out onto St. Charles to watch the Tucks and Iris parades. We may also venture one clock over to the Avenue Pub and once again wonder if this will be the year that the 1800's building's deck will collapse with us on it.

Saturday Night

Make sure you leave your day time activities in time to get dressed to the 9's and to the Convention Center. The doors open at 6:30.

Sunday

We are still at the ball when Sunday starts. Congrats - you made it all of the way through. Feel free to head home or finish up the final days of Mardi Gras.

Wednesday

Mardi Gras end promptly at 12:01am. If you have not considered it before, now if the time to decide what you will be giving up until Easter.

If you see people with black on their forehead, do not try to wipe it off. It is ashes in acknowledgment of Ash Wednesday, the start of the Easter Lent season and one of the primary reasons we have Mardi Gras.
